Cocoa Beach Florida
Cocoa Beach Florida real estate was mostly undeveloped until the advent of the NASA manned space program. It was a sleepy Atlantic Coast village one day, and almost the next day, it was a booming town full of the brightest technologists and scientists the world had ever seen.
America was captivated with NASA and the Cocoa Beach scene, as was evidenced by the 60s sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, which was set in a Cocoa Beach.
Today, Cocoa Beach is still a sleepy little beach town with many employees of NASA living in it, but it’s also a surfing mecca – thanks to Ron Jon Surf Shop.
Another attraction of Cocoa Beach is the Cocoa Beach Pier, which overlooks some of the best surfing on the Atlantic coast and has several excellent restaurants and shops associated with it.
In addition to Atlantic Coast real estate in Cocoa Beach, there is also waterfront real estate on the Banana River. Houses on the Banana River are often blessed with an amazing array of Florida wildlife, including the elusive manatee.
